Working together for inclusion: Insights from Finland and Ireland

The team working on the Technical Support Instrument project ‘Fostering Inclusive Quality Education in Finland and Ireland’ present the key findings, with reflections from Johanna Fitzgerald from the Irish Education and Training Boards and Jukka Vetoniemi from the Finnish National Agency for Education. They describe the established structures and processes to promote collaboration in inclusive education in Finland and Ireland, and on-going challenges in ensuring effective co-operation among all stakeholders. They also outline project recommendations for both countries, such as enhancing communication to ensure that inclusive education is collaborative and effective at all levels. This presentation is from a webinar on ‘Collaborative working and thinking in and across schools’. The webinar is part of the ‘Fostering Inclusive Quality Education in Finland and Ireland’ project, funded by the European Union through the Technical Support Instrument and carried out by EASNIE in co-operation with the European Commission’s Reform and Investment Task Force (SG REFORM).
