EASNIE Director João Costa gives a keynote speech on the role of academic research in inclusive education. He presents EASNIE’s vision for inclusive education systems and key principles for implementing inclusive education. He also describes ways that academia can help to overcome challenges to implementing inclusive education, including through initial and on-going teacher education and academic research.
The speech was given at the first International Conference on the Role of Academia in Promoting Child Rights, held by UNICEF and the University of Patras, Greece, in June 2025.
